A NME Magazine aproveitou o lançamento recente de The Beatles: get back para eleger as melhores músicas da banda “(…) em ordem de grandeza”. No material, a revista compilou todas as canções escritas e lançadas comercialmente pelo grupo durante seus sete primeiros anos de estrada. Portanto, ignorou covers, produções independentes, versões alternativas, entre outras variações.
Como era de se imaginar, o resultado não agradou completamente o público, que questionou a escolha editorial. No Instagram, o usuário the_bad_day_oficial criticou “(…) ‘Don’t pass me by’ acima de ‘Sgt. Peppers’ (…) o emoji com mão no rosto jamais fora tão apropriado”. Em outro comentário, 5arry2 foi mais ríspido, afirmando que “(…) essa lista é repugnantemente errada”.
